There is no denied something sexy when seeing Vietnam by motorbike. Regardless of your ride experience, a motorbike ride is possible if you are determined and patient. The Central Highlands route is still considered an exit from the trail; You will meet some English speakers and will need to improve your Vietnamese (or get a book). It was a rewarding and inspiring experience.
Who will you come with?
Are you the driver alone, will you go in a group, or perhaps you tend to ride as a passenger with a travel company? If it is later, you will have to pay a fee of about USD $ 70 (for or receive, depending on the company) every day and can ride north as you like. The routes are known in advance, the hotels are well-taken care of and a lot of stops are made. If you choose to make the trip yourself, be ready to spend more time organizing the logistics, but you'll be more likely to deviate from designated paths and explore at your own pace.
Scenes along the way
Along your route, if you find something eye-catching as you walk through a village, pull over and ask about it! Local industries are booming in the region's forthcoming cities: you'll pass rubber plantations, pepper, tea and coffee, flower fields exported abroad, and more and more. The region is also home to a number of places of incredible national importance. A part of the famous Ho Chi Minh trail weaves in and out of Vietnam in this area and you'll pass Charlie Hill and other war memorial sites.
There are two ways to equip yourself when riding, or buy your own motorbike, or rent one and create a big loop in the area. You should know enough about motorbike maintenance to overcome if a crisis happens. This is the place to rent a motorbike or ride with a travel company that can be convenient. In the end, you are not responsible for the device and you do not have to worry about reselling the bike at the end. The best way to transport equipment is to tie everything on your back with heavy bungee straps or rubber bands.
Planning for possible weather fluctuations; Thick plastic bags will keep things dry, and you will want one of the thin plastic suits available at all roadside stalls. Despite their delicate appearance, you will be surprised at their performance.
Seeing the Central Highlands by motorbike is incredibly freeing, but you must remember to remain flexible and most importantly, to have the ride of your life.
